How do you get involved in Missions at Central?
The moment you join you already are involved.
Every member at Central partners with millions of other believers all around the world who also call themselves Southern Baptists. Through our tithes and offerings, prayers, and participation, we also partner with every New Testament church that believes in the Bible and the Great Commission.
Here is an excerpt out of our budget about how much money our church sends to missions.
·10% of all of our undesignated offerings goes to the Cooperative Program, which totaled $118,375.45 in 2008. BGCO missions and ministries includes: evangelism, volunteer and partnership missions, disaster relief, church planting, collegiate ministries, Falls Creek and CrossTimbers camps, and much more. Through this program, Central is also a part of the work of four affiliate organizations: Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, Baptist Village Retirement Communities and Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma. On a national level we are a part of the work of the North American Mission Board, which includes close to 7,500 missionaries, as well as six seminaries and the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Through our International Mission Board we make it possible for the gospel to be shared worldwide by over 5,000 fulltime missionaries overseas.
