Centered...Connected...Committed
These are exciting days at Central. Beginning this summer Central is taking steps to become more missional and relational with the people that God has called us to reach. Some would say that we have suspended our Sunday evening services for the summer. That is not true. We just aren’t having them at 9001 N. 145th East Ave in Owasso. Rather, we are having them in our neighborhoods and throughout the area. We have discovered that more people are home on Sunday evenings than any other evening of the week. This being the case, we are encouraging our families to get to know their neighbors.
Recently Pastor Scott has written and made available our vision strategy in booklet form. Soon it will be available to download from our web page. Until then, feel free to pick up your copy in any of the three foyers. We are encouraging individuals, families, and even our small groups to begin to form relationships by getting out in the community and rubbing shoulders with people. Things like backyard BBQs, dessert with a group of friends, small group mission projects, and many other suggestions are in this booklet to help you become more relational and missional with the people around you.
Also new...we have resumed Wednesday evening meals. You will need to sign up in advance since we are using a professional catering company. The prices are as follows. $5.00 for a full adult plate and $2.50 for a ½ plate (seniors and children). First-time guests eat free, but everyone has to have a reservation in no later than Tuesday noon of each week for the Wednesday meal. Following dinner we have a mid-week worship service in Fellowship Hall South at 6:30p. This is for anyone who isn't involved with choir or children's or youth activities.
Exciting days are ahead for Central as we carry out our commission to make disciples. We encourage everyone to get on board with the new schedule and let's reach people!
