Please tell us about your call to Central.
We visited a number of times before we moved here from Arizona because Mark and his family attended here. We felt at home quickly, before we even moved. There wasn’t really any thought of attending elsewhere.

Please tell us about your upbringing.
I was an only child in a very small rural town; both parents were Christians who came from very large families. On the vast continuum of dysfunction, I suppose we were somewhere in the middle. School was my favorite thing and only real social activity. Cousins were my friends/companions. A Sunday School teacher had a lot of influence on me in my teens and was an example to me of a Christian woman.

What were your favorite activities as a child?
Paper dolls, hop scotch, jump rope, bike riding.

Do you play a musical instrument? If so, what?
I used to play an accordion, and I took piano lessons as an adult when my boys were learning to play.

If you couldn’t do what you are doing now, what would you do?
Retire!!!

What do you love the most about your job?
The people

Please share your salvation experience in how you came to Christ.
My story isn’t very exciting. I grew up in church and became aware at about age 12 that I needed the Lord in my life. In an old-fashioned revival meeting at Thanksgiving, I accepted Christ as my Savior, and was baptized the following summer.
