My biggest one is when people ignore someone on purpose!

What are the must-have items in your refrigerator/pantry?
Chicken, cheese, tortillas and pop

If you could time travel, where would you go and why?
I really can’t think of anywhere that I would rather be than the time I am in now.  After all the things I had to go through growing up I feel that God has given me the most wonderful gift of being a wife, a mother and a job that isn’t a job but a privilege.  I don’t want to leave what I have for even one second.

What is your favorite food/restaurant?
Mexican food!!!!!!!

What are your hobbies/interests?
I enjoy reading

Who first introduced you to Jesus Christ?
My Grandma and Grandpa

Who most influenced your walk with Christ and why?
I would say my grandma and grandpa did.  I grew up going to church with them and saw how they lived a Christ-like life.

Please tell us about your family.
I have been married to my best friend for 9 years and we have 3 children, Emma, Jackson and Addy.

Please tell us about your call to Central.
I had grown up at Central and was out of church when I got married.  We had our children and knew we needed to be back in church.  We started visiting a church here in Owasso.  My grandma had told me how Central’s new Pastor moved 3 houses down from me and how we should go and hear him.  Since he was our neighbor we decided to go and have be back ever since.   Six months after we were attending there was talk about starting a weekday preschool and I was asked to be on the committee.  The rest speaks for itself.  God worked out a perfect plan!

Please tell us about your upbringing?
I was born and raised in Owasso.  I have one younger brother.  My parents divorced when I was 12 and that was when I started pulling from God.  I had rough up-bringing after the divorce of my parents.   I moved to Morris my junior year of High school with my mom.  I graduated from there and then we moved back to Tulsa.

What do you love the most about your job?
I feel like it isn’t a job, it’s a privilege.  I love that I get to see children being taught about God and His love.  I also love that  the parents trust us to care for their children and teach them.  I love that I have teachers who love Christ and want to teach the children about Him.  It is a joy and an honor that God chose me to be at Grand Central Kids.

Please share your salvation experience in how you came to Christ.
I remember I was 8 years old sitting at my grandma and grandpas kitchen table after church on a Sunday.   I started asking them questions and felt that I needed Jesus and I desperately wanted Him in my heart and I wanted to live for Him.  I prayed with them and repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my heart.  After that I was baptized so that I could share with others that I had accepted Christ.  I strayed through the years.    I was put through so much growing up and at times I did seek God and other times I ran as far as I could.  After returning to Central as an adult I questioned whether I was really saved because I wondered how I could have been so far away from God.  I believe I was but I prayed the sinner’s prayer again because I needed to know that if I died tomorrow I was indeed going to Heaven.
