Which famous person would play you in a movie?
Bonnie Hunt

What are your pet peeves?
Pessimism.

What is your strongest quality?
I will talk to just about anyone.

What is your biggest weakness?
I can be overly sensitive.

What super power would you like to have and why?
The ability to be in two places at one time.  I think that would come in handy.

What are the must-have items in your refrigerator/pantry?
Cheese, Ketchup (not to be used together)

If you could time travel, where would you go and why?
I don’t wish to go back in time.  I like modern conveniences too much. I’m pretty happy here and now.

Who is your favorite artist/musician?
Mercy Me is my favorite Christian group.

What are your hobbies/interests?
Watching my children participate in their activities, reading books and magazines, playing with our pets, travel, working in the yard (when it’s not 100 degrees), decorating, and taking naps.

Who first introduced you to Jesus Christ?
My parents

Who most influenced your walk with Christ and why?
The pastor of the  church I grew up in.  I was blessed to have the same pastor for 20+ years and he was very involved in my walk with the Lord. My grandmother was a wonderful influence on my Christian life as well.

Please tell us about your family.
I have been married to Mark for 23 years.  We grew up 30 minutes from each other and met in college.  Our daughter Lauryl is 16 and our son Logan is almost 13.  Our dogs, Luci and Sadie, and our 16 year old cat, Gertie complete our family.  Oh, I guess I should also mention Todd, our bearded dragon.

Please tell us about your call to Central.
I believe my call to Central actually began months before I even knew I was moving to Oklahoma.  Six months before our move, I accepted a position with my former church as a children’s ministry assistant.  I know that prepared me for accepting a position here. My position here came out of a conversation I had with Carol Palmer, our former executive ministry assistant.  I truly believe the Lord put these plans into place.

Please tell us about your upbringing.
I grew up in a small town in Mississippi.  I am an only child.  I was blessed to live very near to both of my grandmothers and many extended family members.  It’s wonderful for my family to return there and be welcomed by people I’ve know my entire life.

What were your favorite activities as a child?
Playing outside with neighbors.  I also spent lots of time playing Barbies.

Do you play a musical instrument? If so, what?
I took piano lessons for 10 years but no, I do not play a musical instrument.

If you couldn’t do what you are doing now, what would you do?
Something where I could interact with people.  Before rejoining the work force about 6 years ago, I was a stay-at-home mom and did volunteer work which I found very rewarding.  I enjoy helping people.

What do you love the most about your job?
Interaction with people.

Please share your salvation experience in how you came to Christ.
I accepted Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized a few days later.  My pastor led me to the Lord.  Even though my lifestyle did not take a drastic turn, I still knew that I was different now that I had admitted my sins and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of my life.
